Right — been on this thing for about four months now and it's stuck on my phone, so figured I'd chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I'm in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I could never get my head round what an each way payout would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I'd eyeball it and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where most people I know got it wrong. One thing that really made a difference was the nerdier extras. There's an probability calculator which shows you the overround, and there's the kelly tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I'm covering two or three runners.
It's not perfect mind. Its layout is a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it's fine although the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but worth saying.
Right, that's me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone even now works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it's saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
